Register of Interests and Governors’ Details 2020-21

The below document shows a list of governors who have served on Grange’s Governing Body in the last twelve months.  Governors have a legal duty to act in the best interests of their schools.  Where there are personal or financial interests which may conflict with this duty, we identify, prevent and record the conflict.  Generally, governors must not be involved in discussions or vote on matters to which a conflict relates.  All governors sign a ‘Declaration of Interests’ form at the start of the first full Governing Body meeting of an academic year and, at the beginning of meetings, are asked to declare if they have a potential conflict of interest with any agenda item.  Click on each governor’s name in the table to see their photo and profile.

‘The constitution of governing bodies of maintained schools’, DfE (August 2017) requires the details above to be published on the school website. Any governor failing to provide information to enable the Governing Body (GB) to fulfill its responsibilities may be in breach of the Governing Body ‘code of conduct’ and as a result be bringing the Governing Body into disrepute.  In such cases the Governing Body would consider suspending the governor.
