Mental Health Week Feb 2021
There are many ways to support children’s mental health and well-being but one of the key things you can do is be there, when the moment comes that your child chooses to open up and talk to you, knowing that you will stop and listen, really listen, is incredibly powerful and will help a child to feel heard.
Through the experience of being heard, a child will feel that you value them and they will start to perceive themselves as valuable. They will develop a stronger sense of themselves, helping them to become more resilient, especially now when everything they have learnt and know about their world has changed.
