    Hello from the PTA Committee!

Thank you to all the families and friends who ordered a Grange Christmas Tree – they will be ready for collection at the Christmas Fayre! As well as getting a great deal on price (compared to other local retailers!) everyone who bought a tree helped raise over £960 for the school to go towards buying new maths resources! It’s wonderful to be able to help support our kids learning, while enjoying the magic of Christmas! Speaking of which…
    • Count down to the Christmas Fayre: Saturday 3rd December 12noon – 4pm

    • Donations wanted next week: New and good quality children’s toys and gifts.

    • Can you bake for the Christmas Fayre Bake Sale? Treats and goodies needed!

    • Non uniform day NEXT WEEK: Friday 2nd of December, bring a bottle donation.
Countdown to the Christmas Fayre: Saturday the 3rd of December

The nights are drawing in, the lights are twinkling and it is almost time for the Grange Primary School PTA Christmas Fayre! We welcome all our school families and friends in the community to come along on Saturday 3rd of December from 12 noon to 4pm for an afternoon of festive fun. Entry is just £2 and kids under 12 get in for FREE. Roast a marshmallow, do some Christmas craft, write a letter to Santa, play some mini-games or jump on the bouncy castle. A range of delicious hot food and drinks will be available for purchase, including a BBQ, Japanese food stall, toasties and mulled wine from the Jolly Granger Bar! All funds raised go directly to supporting the school’s educational activities including books and classroom resources.

The Christmas Fayre could not take place without volunteers and we need are still short of helpers for some of the most loved children’s, such as face painting, sweet stall and the bouncy castle. We are also offering a prize for the class with the most volunteers – TOKENS for the kids in the class to use at the Christmas Fayre! It's wonderful to have so many families and teachers involved in the Christmas Fayre, even if you only have 30 mins to spare, please consider lending a hand to make this event magical – sign up here:

Donation collections: New or near-new quality children’s toys
Next week we are collecting donations of new, or near-new toys, games and gifts suitable for children. We welcome soft toy donations, so if you have any teddies or soft toy animals looking for a new home, please send them in! A donation drop off box will be set up in the main playground entrance at drop off (8:45 – 9am) each morning from Monday 28th Nov to Friday 2nd Dec. Thank you to everyone who donated preloved Christmas jumpers this week – especially in children’s sizes! These will be on sale as part of the preloved market at the Christmas Fayre – just in time for Christmas Jumper Day on the 8th of December. And we still need a few more donations – so if you have any jumpers the kids have grown out of, then send them in!

Calling all Christmas bakers! Can you help with our Christmas Fayre Bake Sale?
We’d love to serve up some delicious festive treats at the Christmas Fayre Bake Sale, like cupcakes, gingerbreads, traybakes, and Christmas treats! All items need to have no nuts and to have a list of the ingredients used. We especially welcome gluten free and vegan options to cater for everyone in our community. Please drop off baked goods at the main school office on Friday the 2nd or at the school hall on Saturday the 3rd of December between 9AM and 11AM – and if you are short on time, then baked-by-a-supermarket items are also very welcome!

Non-uniform day Friday 2nd of December: Bring a bottle!

Wear your own clothes to school on Friday 2nd of December in exchange for bringing a bottle for the Christmas Fayre Tombola. All new and unopened bottles accepted – wine, beer, spirits, nonalcoholic beverages, fizzy drinks, flavoured cooking oils, bubble bath, perfume, chocolate sauce... any bottle that would be suitable as an adult tombola prize. Drop off at the gate on entry to the school playground, and if you are thinking of the environment, go for glass rather than plastic!

Hope you all have a lovely week,
With best wishes from the PTA Committee
Zeynep, Nataliya, Tessa, Krystal and Jenn
