Our aim is for teachers to deliver outstanding lessons, in order for every child to reach their full potential regardless of any barriers to learning or Special Educational Needs and/or Disability (SEND).
Equality and Inclusivity within the Curriculum
The Equality Act (2010) and the Special Educational Needs and Disability Regulations (2014) place a legal duty for teachers to make reasonable adjustments for pupils with SEND. This is known as ‘differentiation’ as part of quality first teaching expectations, where planning and teaching is adjusted to enable all children to access their education irrespective of their individual need or barrier to learning. Please refer to the school’s Special Educational Needs and/or Disability (SEND) Policy for further information.
