Well-being Support

Well-being is an important aspect as higher levels of well-being are associated with decreased risk of disease, illness, and injury; better immune functioning; speedier recovery; and increased longevity. Individuals with high levels of well-being are more productive at work and are more likely to contribute to their communities.

As such, Grange Primary School has a dedicated well-being team, who meet regularly and consider well-being support in range of ways:

  • •Well-being governor;
  • •Staff surveys twice a year;
  • •Pupil surveys that focus on particular areas of well-being;
  • •Well-being bulletin that supports all members of the school community;
  • •Well-being activities/events across the curriculum;
  • •Well-being calendar;
  • •Posters promoting well-being;
  • •Well-being activities for staff and parents e.g. yoga/mindfulness;
  • •Grange Space (listening service for all pupils to express their worries/concerns); and
  • •Book of Beasties (well-being programme)
